FC Barcelona strengthens its commitment to eSports with a Rocket League team

Blaugrana roster will include the Spanish Adrián "Bymateos" Mateos and the British players David "Deevo" William and Daniel "Bluey" Brian, both winners of the last Rocket League Championship Series. Also, the French Yanis "Alpha54" Champenois, a promising young player who has already made a name for himself in the competitive Rocket League scene, will be part of the squad as well.

The British Robert "Roken" Kendall will be managing Barça team with a style of game based on combination and group work, a way of playing closely linked to the values of FC Barcelona. "Being part of FC Barcelona is the greatest award that any athlete can achieve, so I am deeply honoured to lead this team," says the coach. In his view, "the fact that FC Barcelona joins the Rocket League is a success for both the club and the community."

This new squad of FC Barcelona joins the existing one of Pro Evolution Soccer (PES), a game developed by Konami, the club's sponsor. For this title they count on the Spanish players Alex Alguacil and Pau Lara, who lead the classification of the eFootball.pro competition and have been qualified for the finals.
